Confessions of a traveling salesman

The British government invited a group of leading design companies, across all disciplines, to help promote British creativity in South Korea. We we lucky enough to be chosen alongside Tangerine, Seymour Powell, Kinnear Duffort, Aboud Creative, and a few others.

A twelve hour flight with an eight hour time difference and not much sleep made it slightly more tricky but as a whole it was an impressive affair.

Times have changed so much that the UK really only has one global export. Design.

Korea has some of the most admired brands in the world, including Samsung, LG, Hyundai, Kia, and Daewoo. I was struggling to get past Dyson and Rolls Royce.

It seems the future of British design is overseas. Good for the Air Miles.

Here's some pics from the trip...

We looked hard for the real 'Seoul'. Perhaps too hard as we ending up trapped in the cafe above eating cold tinned snails.

Really liked this exhibition of squashed statues. They mess with your eyes.
